HOT&HOT Event Highlights from the Past Years
Over the years, HOT&HOT has brought warmth and flavor to every season — not only through hotpot, but through celebrations that connect people, cultures, and traditions. Here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments.
King’s Day: Orange Everywhere
Every April, the Netherlands turns into a sea of orange — from bright clothes to painted faces.
To join this national celebration, HOT&HOT prepared something special: a custom-made Tompouce dessert for every guest dining with us on King’s Day.
It was our way of blending Dutch festivity with Chinese hospitality, sharing sweetness and smiles around the table.

Easter: Tea Eggs, Not Chocolate Eggs
During Easter, while others handed out chocolate eggs, we offered something uniquely Chinese — freshly made tea eggs.
Each guest received one as a small holiday gift, and our boss even personally joined in, bringing the eggs straight to the tables.
The familiar aroma of soy and tea delighted our Chinese guests with a taste of home, while our Dutch and international friends discovered one of China’s most beloved snacks.
A simple egg turned into a bridge between cultures — warm, flavorful, and unforgettable.

Mid-Autumn Festival: Moonlight and Osmanthus
In 2021, we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival with creativity and heart.
Instead of the traditional mooncake, our chefs designed a new seasonal treat — Fried Osmanthus Flower Pumpkin Cakes.
Crisp on the outside, soft within, and fragrant with osmanthus, these handmade desserts captured the spirit of autumn.
From September 13th to 21st, we shared tutorials and stories across our social media, showing how the cakes were made. Guests who joined our online discussions could claim a free serving in-store on September 21st.
To add even more festivity, we hosted a lighthearted Q&A challenge — answer one question about HOT&HOT correctly and enjoy two complimentary shots of Chinese Baijiu.
The laughter, the sharing, and the aroma of food created an atmosphere of home for everyone — no matter where they came from.

Looking Back, Staying Warm
Each event — from King’s Day to Easter to the Mid-Autumn Festival — reminded us why we love what we do.
At HOT&HOT, food is more than a meal. It’s memory, culture, and connection.
We’re proud to have shared these moments with so many guests and friends across the Netherlands.
Thank you for celebrating with us — and stay tuned for the next one.
